This project marks a significant step towards providing efficient and sustainable energy solutions for the food processing industry.
Process of Manufacturing Maltodextrin from Cassava Roots (Tapioca):
The typical process of manufacturing maltodextrin from cassava roots involves the following stages:
1. Cleaning and Preparation of Cassava Roots: Cassava roots are harvested and then cleaned and prepared to commence the processing. Steam is often utilized in this stage to clean the roots and provide the necessary temperature conditions for subsequent steps.
2. Grinding and Processing of Cassava Roots: The cassava roots are ground into powder or mashed. Steam is also used in the processing and cooking of the cassava roots, aiding in separating water and providing the required temperature for cooking.
3. Fermentation and Fermentation: The cassava powder is then subjected to the fermentation and fermentation process to convert it into maltodextrin. Steam is typically used to maintain the appropriate temperature and humidity conditions for the fermentation process to occur.
4. Separation of Sediment and Filtration: After fermentation, the powder is separated from the solution and then filtered to remove impurities, producing pure maltodextrin. Steam is also commonly used in this process to assist in sediment separation and filtration.
5. Drying and Packaging: Finally, the maltodextrin is dried and then packaged into product packs or containers for export or domestic consumption.

With a capacity of 20 tons and utilizing biomass, cashew husk, and Indonesian coal as fuel, this system is designed to meet the large-scale production needs of the company.
