ABOUT DIVI POWER

Power plants using biomass fuel

Project Description

+ The project is located in Phuoc Minh commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province. Its location is advantageous for connecting to the EVN's 110 kVA power station and for cooling water source from the vast Thac Mo lake.

+ Phuoc Minh is a particularly disadvantaged locality of Binh Phuoc province. The project's operation will solve a significant source of local labor from the fuel supply chain for the factory, hoping to improve the living standards of the surrounding residents.

+ The biomass power plant with a grid-connected power generation capacity of 10 MW, using a fluidized bed boiler to burn crushed wood and cashew shell, is an effective solution in utilizing renewable fuel sources. The boiler is designed with steam pressure specifications of 110 bara, superheated steam at 540 oC, and equipped with the most modern and advanced dust filtration system to ensure thorough dust treatment before being released into the environment.

+ The multi-stage steam turbine with working pressure up to over 100 bara and superheated steam temperature up to 540 oC features steam control admission for deaerator. The turbine is selected to convert thermal energy into electrical energy, optimizing energy conversion efficiency for power generation.

+ After the steam turbine, DIVI Group applies a cooling system using a cooling tower to reduce the temperature of the water vapor after passing through the turbine. The water source is supplemented from a nearby natural lake.

+ This power plant not only contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions through the use of biomass fuel but also provides a significant amount of electricity to the grid, promoting the development of clean and sustainable energy. It contributes a part of the effort to reduce the country's net emissions to zero by 2050, according to the Government's commitment.
