ABOUT DIVI BIOMASS

Biomass fuel supply

What is biomass fuel?

It is organic materials originating from agricultural and forestry residues.

Application of biomass fuel

Biomass fuel is primarily used for boilers to generate heat or co-generate electricity and heat for production and daily life. Due to the nature of biomass fuel, we must use specific types of boilers to ensure complete combustion and eliminate pollution gases to the environment.

Types of biomass fuel in Vietnam

As an agricultural country, Vietnam has a diverse and abundant source of biomass fuel such as straw, rice husks, bagasse, cashew shells, compressed wood pellets, wood chips...

Advantages of biomass fuel

+ A renewable fuel source: Trees can be replanted in a short time, 3 months, 3 years, or 10 years, ensuring a steady fuel supply for boilers.

+ More evenly distributed than other fuel sources and can be exploited using simple methods without too much expense or modern technical measures.

+ An effective alternative to fossil fuels, reducing dependence on them and contributing to environmental protection.

+ Helps develop rural economy: Creates additional jobs in rural areas. Besides harvesting agricultural and forestry products, farmers can collect by-products to supply biomass fuel.

       + Non-toxic and easily biodegradable.

+ Reduces groundwater pollution hazards from underground gas tanks and the risk of depleting engine oil and fuel for vehicles.

+ Reduces carbon emissions: Planting energy trees or reforestation in harvested areas helps absorb CO2, reducing the greenhouse effect.

+ Contributes to creating a green vegetation cover, reducing the impact of storms, floods, and erosion.

+ Contributes to energy security: Not dependent on traditional fossil fuel sources, restraining the increase in oil and coal prices, contributing to stabilizing the world's energy situation.
